PETE Club
The first PETE club meeting was this week and it was pretty packed. The Wednesday meeting had the whole room full and people out the door. The meeting was dedicated to open the year, talk about state convention, and opportunities for community service. Since the start of last year, we have to participate in 1 PETE club approved thing to be an active member. I signed up to help work the PE Alumni tent at the homeecoming football game for an hour. I will become an active member to PETE club for the semester and will get a thank you letter from Dr. Liu for my E-folio. This will be a good thing for my E-folio and PETE club.

work
Well here is the time of the year where my work starts to pick up. I have so much to do now for at least two weeks without stopping. Thankfully the Efolio is not due for a few weeks. I got a teaching assignment for lifetime/leisure activities class, a project for lit, and 3 tests this upcoming week. I knew it was going to be here soon enough and here it is. Thanks to all the wonderful classes I am taking, all the work has finally arrived.

Webpage
This webpage assignment was not the best of assignments. It was hard to complete due to lack of computers on campus that actually have frontpage on them. Citrix did not always work for me on my laptop at home and getting the field house lab on Tuesday did not go to plan. When I looked at my webpage on Wednesday my pictures would not come up and that provided more problems. This probably had good intentions but was more work and stress than needed because of everything that went wrong.

The ARC
The ARC has many activities going on year round. I am working at the ARC this year and have noticed many activities that I did not know about last year. They have free first aid and CPR classes, free kayak roll clinics, and many trips for very low prices. The trips include white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, and hiking just to name a few things. The prices are very reasonable for slippery rock students and very fun. Once you leave slippery rock the prices for trips like these could be a couple hundred dollars. Here at slippery rock, the prices are just about $10-$20 tops. Sign up and go on some of the fun trips and participate in the free clinics at the ARC.
